Family Update

Alasyn
- is now 8 months old

- has been sitting up on her own for a few months, but is showing no interest in crawling yet (and Mom's okay with that - I haven't baby-proofed the house yet!)

- LOVES solid food. Especially bananas.

- has very ticklish ribs and giggles up a storm when you tickle them with your nose. (She doesn't give you near the same reaction when you go at her ribs with your fingers.)

- is still an amazing sleeper. In bed between 8 & 9 p.m. and wakes up between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. I'm knocking on wood that it stays that way!

- is still petite. At her 6 month appointment she weighed 12 lbs. 13 oz. (3rd percentile) and was 24 inches long (7th percentile). The doctor isn't worried about her growth so neither are we - we just love our little girl! (And it makes it feel like she's not growing up so fast.)

David
- just got a job with a supplemental insurance company called Combined Insurance. He just left for Atlanta GA for 2 weeks of training, and when he gets back he will be off and running!

- only has 2 more classes to take before finishing his degree at ASU in Business Management!

- loves to garden and landscape!

- is serving as Elders Quorum President at church and is staying busy!

- loves being a dad! He can't get enough of Alasyn. :)

Robyn
- just finished up her career in education this week and is excited to now be a full-time stay-at-home mom!

- is looking forward to a summer full of projects - fixing the sewing machine and starting a quilt, putting more color on Alasyn's bedroom walls, decluttering the house and holding a garage sale, and much much more!

- is also looking forward to having a little more time to spend on long-lost talents and hobbies - playing the piano, reading, cooking, and cleaning and organizing the house!

- is serving as Ward Music Coordinator at church and is grateful for the opportunity to be so involved in something she loves so much - music!

- can't wait for a little bit of summer travel to visit family and friends.

- loves being a mom!

Yay for being a stay-at-home-Mom! I don't think there is anything better in the world personally! She is a little girl, but so cute!

It is so good to hear about the family. Wow your baby is little, or mine is just big. He is now 8 months old and weighs 23 pounds. I agree with you. It is so fun to be at home with him. Thanks for the update, it was fun to see pictures of all of you.
